Description

Viettel is a Vietnamese state-owned telecom and defense-industry conglomerate, founded in 1989 under the Ministry of National Defence (originally built as an antenna-tower construction unit). It is Vietnam's largest telecom operator and operates in 10 countries. In 2025 the group reported record consolidated revenue of VND 220.4 trillion (about $8.3 billion), up 13.8% year-on-year. Beyond telecommunications, Viettel operates in digital services, cybersecurity and defense manufacturing.
