Description

Vissan, founded November 20, 1970 and beginning operations May 18, 1974 in Ho Chi Minh City, was Vietnam's first modern livestock-slaughter and meat-processing facility, opening with three pig and two cattle slaughter lines with cold-chain freezing. Converted to a joint-stock company in 2016 with charter capital over 809 billion VND, it remains a top national meat processor of pork, beef and poultry, plus ham and sausage on French and Japanese technology.
