Description
Xi'an Aircraft Industrial Corporation (XAC), a subsidiary of state-owned AVIC, traces its lineage to the late 1950s, when China began license-producing the Soviet Tu-16 as the H-6 bomber, first fully Chinese-built in 1968; over 150 H-6s have been produced. XAC also builds the Y-20 heavy military transport, nicknamed "Chubby Girl," first flown in 2013, with a max takeoff weight around 220 tonnes and up to 66 tonnes of cargo capacity.
