Description
A major Sinopec petrochemical complex located in Nanjing, Jiangsu — one of the corporation's five ethylene production hubs in China. Ethylene capacity was expanded in stages, from 400,000 to 650,000 tonnes per year around 2002. Joint ventures with BASF (BASF-YPC) produce a broad range of petrochemicals including ethylene oxide, aromatics, and polymers. A new 1-million-tonne-per-year ethylene unit with BASF has been under discussion for the Nanjing site.
