Yingli Solar (英利新能源) is a Chinese PV module maker founded in 1998 by Miao Liansheng in Baoding, Hebei province. It ranked among the world's top solar panel suppliers by volume in 2012-2013 and was a title sponsor of the 2010 and 2014 FIFA World Cups. Debt problems forced restructuring in 2016-2018, with control passing to Baoding municipal authorities. Relaunched in 2021, it has since expanded capacity to roughly 25-30 GW by 2025.
