Description

Yonghui (永辉超市) is a major Chinese supermarket chain that since 2024 has been undergoing a nationwide store-renovation program modeled on retailer Pang Donglai, with over 100 stores converted by June 2025. Renovated stores replace up to 70% of their product assortment, expand fresh-food categories (e.g., from 5% to 20% of mix), and add free butcher/seafood counter services; some converted stores (e.g. in Beijing) reported daily sales nearly tripling and foot traffic up over 65% post-renovation.
